• As many of you know, it’s my holiday tradition to skip the holidays . I’ll be away, no Mac, no Crack(berry) for two weeks. Should you try to call, email, or text me, please know that I will not know anything about it until January 7 at the earliest.
  • Until then, please enjoy the latest Masocast, featuring a roundtable discussion held at Salon d’Orleans with Mistress Alex, Mistress Sade, Ayla, and ME. It’s nearly an hour of engrossing conversation covering everything from sacred and ritual play, physical v. emotional intimacy in play, Topspace and subspace to clone sex, double penetration fantasies, ass licking, and when to hire a sex worker. Also, I curse a lot. (sigh). It’s juicy stuff, I tell ya. Go! Go! Go!
  • Some of you have asked about what you might get me for Christmas. While I don’t participate in gift giving or receiving for Christmas, I DO celebrate my birthday … which is January 10. Things I’d like, for those who are inclined: gift cards from Starbucks, Bliss Spa, iTunes. I also have a gift registry at Union Square Wines. This time, I’m not asking for gear (besides, what don’t I have already … well, except this. Oh, and one of these. Sigh.). Anyway, I’ve committed to working on refurnishing? refurbishing? my home this year (since every previous year, it’s been all about my studio…the place is like my child, I spoil it so bad). So I could really use gift cards for places like Pottery Barn or  Home Depot as well. You can send whatever you like to: Troy Orleans, 2753 Broadway #103, New York, NY 10025
  • Thanks to all of you who’ve commented privately on my “He Said, He Said, She Said” series. I do wish you’d write in the comments more (I was looking at my old blog posts and marveling at the robust comments section…what happened?!?).
  • One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to be better about keeping in touch with my play partners. If we’ve ever played together, please send me an email (MTO at TroyOrleans dot com ) with the subject line “Keep in touch.” Include your city, birthday, preferred email address  (or the email address you last used with me), and, if necessary, a brief description of a notable moment from our scene and I promise you’ll hear from me in 2010. Some emails will be newsy updates that just aren’t appropriate for a public blog (e.g. special sessions I’m offering) and some will be personal notes from me to you and only you. All of it will be delicious, desirable, and spamless.
  • Hope your holiday season was as you wanted it to be and that 2010 is filled with pleasures great and small…especially if it includes me! Happy New Year!

  • More comments eh? Well, I’ve just been listening to your latest contribution to Masocast. As ever, a revealing and refreshing discourse…..right down to your comment that you ‘top from the bottom like a motherfucker’.

No truer words ever spoken……….but, Good God, its a challenge worth experiencing!

    • @bootlover Glad you liked the roundtable! I had SO much fun hosting the ladies at Salon d’Orleans. As for that FetLife game, I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to Scrabble and would rather not pervert it. Besides, that version would take FOREVER!

  • “I do wish you’d write in the comments more (I was looking at my old blog posts and marveling at the robust comments section…what happened?!?).”

Are you asking? I hope you know how much I love reading your writing. I really do. But I gotta say that you used to be more interactive on your old blog. You answered everyone. You and others you know in the kink blogosphere were my inspiration to write.

I think it’s really important to cherish the comments and respond. There…my two cents worth.

Happy New Year MTO!! I’m looking forward to listening to the Masocast and hearing rich, intelligent, expansive cursing! 🙂

    • @advo I was going to contradict you …. I feel like I’ve been pretty good about replying. But then I looked at the last dozen posts or so and … yeah. I’m at maybe 60%. (Not to mention, if you’ve replied five times, I think I only responded twice. Yipes!) My two New Years’ resolutions are to be better about communicating (email/blog/twitter replies) and to always seek balance among the time and energy I give to work, my life, and my self. Wish me luck!

  • MTO,

A very smart person once said to me that they planned to spend more time “on life” and less time “online”! Hmm, sounds like you’re following the same path! Good for you, but please don’t forget those of us who live with you here in this world!!

    Yours,

    Whizzer
