Birthday!

Today is my birthday.  Thanks to those of you who took the time to help me celebrate with a special gift, note, or call. It means a lot to me.

Last night, I celebrated by taking the select, amazing women who rent from me out to dinner to thank them for being such talented, inspiring, and seriously hot women to share my space with. Salon d’Orleans is such a special, personal labor of love and I feel so blessed to be able to have women use it that I trust and respect and who also appreciate what a unique and exceptional play environment it is.

Today, I’m doing all kinds of glamorous birthday things: hanging curtains, tidying up for a friend who’s coming to visit, assembling Ikea furniture, and having tea with a dear, longtime friend. While all that’s going on, I’ll also be marveling at what a blessed life I have to be able to find such joy and fulfillment in work that I find both challenging and satisfying, to be able to be a special part in the lives of some pretty terrific people who make me feel loved and appreciated, and simply having so much to be grateful for.
